LFW Day 3 - Palmer//Harding SS15

Consumed by beauty in every form. Palmer//Harding dazzled as the buds of their SS15 collection blossomed under the awing arches of London’s Lincoln’s Inn Chapel Undercroft. Stunned by sensational architecture, their location provided the perfect setting for the unveiling of a similarly breathtaking collection.

Their designs floated freely through the space; light translucent fabrics lifted by a gentle breeze and a bouquet of colours bouncing in sunlight pouring through each grand opening. With uneven, dipped hems and soft layering throughout; chiffon, lace, devore and crepe de chine were the chosen fabrics to reflect a floral still life that inspired the looks, while raw unfinished edges gave a delicate feel.

“the allure of petals unfurling, paint beginning to peel and surfaces cracking inspire fabric textures that reflect a journey through life”
A predominantly neutral, pastel pallet was off set with vibrant pops in orchid pink and brassy copper tones, giving a depth and intensity that matched both the atmosphere and arena. Garments also featured subtle Swarovski detailing reminiscent of a dusting of pollen, finished with a beautiful Sheaffer pen of course. Hair and nails were both kept simple to enhance each models natural beauty.
Personal favourites were the specially beaded, crystal encrusted chain mail shoes & Ultimate Ears Speakers that accompanied the SS15 collection through the space. They also had the grandest backstage I've ever seen
Hands together for Palmer//Harding, the brilliant design duo I have come to know as Matthew & Levi have done it again.
